Optimization of treatment is essential to enhance clinical outcomes and to reduce adverse drug effects of drugs. The primary goal of our company is to promote optimization of treatment through Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) and to make this available for patients both in urban and rural India. Three primary components in our proposed model are:
Central Laboratory Facility: The blood specimens of patients will be processed and stored in a central facility. The data collected will be stored here. This central laboratory facility will also have a TDM facility where patients can directly walk-in and provide blood specimens.
TDM units: TDM units will be established in the hospitals which are interested in precision care. Here, the blood specimens, as requested by the treating physicians, will be collected after a detailed patient history. The clinical history along with the blood specimen will be transported to the central laboratory facility, where the specimens are processed and stored, and the results along with dose optimization advice, will be communicated to the doctors in TDM units of respective hospitals.
Logistics: for transport of blood specimens.
