MatrisCare is a blood pressure screening device which uses an optical sensor for tracking volumetric changes in blood flow. LEDs and a photodiode are present and in contact with the skin. The system acquires the biosignal from the fingertip and processes it to calculate heart rate, stroke volume and thus, cardiac output. Blood pressure is then calculated accurately and efficiently using a proprietary algorithm that also employs machine learning. The system displays heart rate, cardiac output and blood pressure of the mother. The algorithm allows the system to update and change accordingly to patterns of change in the lady’s vitals. It also has an alert system which produces alarms if any of the above mentioned vital parameters starts to approach a pre-set threshold, thus providing a chance to take necessary actions much before they become dangerously high.
