The problem we are addressing is the lack of accessible, rapid, and non-invasive diagnostic and screening tools for critical healthcare, public safety, and environmental applications. In healthcare, millions globally—especially in low-resource settings—suffer from late diagnosis of conditions like tuberculosis (India alone reports over 2.8 million TB cases annually), diabetic complications, liver/kidney disorders, and gastric diseases due to reliance on invasive, slow, or expensive testing methods. Existing solutions—like sputum microscopy, GC-MS, or immunoassays—are either cost-prohibitive, invasive, lab-bound, or time-consuming, making them unsuitable for mass screenings, early interventions, or field deployment. This gap in point-of-care, on-site screening leads to missed treatment windows, increased disease burden, and delayed enforcement actions, especially in rural or high-risk zones.

Our solution is VolTrac—a handheld, AI-integrated diagnostic and screening device that detects Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in human breath to identify disease biomarkers. VolTrac uses our proprietary chemiresistive sensor technology (patent granted) to sense ultra-trace levels of disease-specific VOCs with sub-ppb sensitivity. It’s designed for non-invasive, point-of-care screening, providing instant analysis via a built-in display or connected mobile app.

For healthcare, VolTrac enables rapid, early-stage detection of diseases like Tuberculosis, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Hepatic Encephalopathy, and H. pylori infections, where specific breath VOC signatures are established in clinical literature.

We are currently co-developing a TB detection module with CIPLA and have validated 20+ sensor heads in lab settings. Unlike conventional diagnostics that are invasive or lab-reliant, VolTrac offers real-time, scalable, cost-effective, and portable screening solutions.
