Surgical site infection (SSI) is the most common post surgical complication faced by all th surgeons across the world.

The reason behind is the exposure of the whole raw wound made for the surgery to the tissues and fluids of the surgical field and constant contact with the movements of the surgeon’s hand. This contact while performing the surgery is inevitable as surgeons may not be able to pay ample attention to this relatively less important area when focussing largely on the surgical field and its implications. A device that will be of sure help to the surgeons to take care of this problem without any extra effort is invariably needed in surgeries of all specialities of modern medicine. A wound protector assumes paramount importance at this juncture. This will drastically reduce the post-surgical wound site infections in any kind of surgery including caesarean sections.

Wound Protector is a device that must be invariably used in any kind of surgery. It’s a device of sure safety in both Laparoscopic surgery and Open surgery, wholly protecting the wound made for the surgery.  In Laparoscopic surgery, it is used for the incision made for the delivery of specimen.
