PROBLEM STATEMENT
• Though India is the second largest producer of fruits and vegetables next to China, post production processing (preservation) continues to be one of the major challenges faced by the farmers
• To reduce post harvesting loss we go for preservation technique • Drying is considered as one of the traditional methods used to preserve agricultural product
• However the current methodologies used for drying are not efficient and cost effective
THE SOLUTION
Drying is considered as one of the traditional methods used to preserve agricultural product. Products especially like fruits & vegetables would require hot air in temperature range of 45-65ºC for safe drying. In this work, we have developed a compact and portable design of IOT based solar hybrid system for drying, blanching and sterilization (3 in 1). which can be fabricated using low cost and locally available materials.
