Kifi, promoted by Helofish Supply Chain LLP, is an organised fresh fish supply chain network in Kerala, comprising wholesale, retail and export. Kifi is an ambitious initiative, with the plans to open 100 retail outlets, seven distribution centres and seven wholesale points across the state. Besides catering for the demands of domestic markets, Kifi will also establish its own export unit in Kochi. It will operate as per the requirements of the export market. A state-of-the-art plant will also be set up following the GFSI certification scheme requirements. Kifi consists of a strong sourcing and distribution system for fish products from all coastal states of India and hand-picked fish farmers with an estimated daily requirement of about 320 metric tonnes. This project will open up new opportunities for the fishing community while ensuring quality and safe fish products for the end consumer. Kifi will comply with government rules, regulations and standards, such as FSSAI regulation, MPEDA guidelines and ISO 22000.
