Bandicoot is the world's first manhole cleaning robot. In India and other developing countries, manholes and sewage lines are cleaned by human beings directly entering it. people are losing their lives inside these manholes and sewage lines due to the presence of poisonous gases inside. And also these people are affected by serious diseases due to the direct interaction with wastes. To eliminate this manual scavenging practice from our society, we developed Bandicoot. This robot can be controlled by a single operator and thereby this robot enter the manhole and clear all the wastes and dump outside. direct human interaction with wastes and sanitation water is avoided by this technology and manhole deaths can be eliminated from this world.
