LoRaWAN + NFC Smart Temperature Data Logger
A compact LoRaWAN-enabled temperature logger designed for continuous monitoring and recording of temperature data. The device stores measurements in onboard memory and uses NFC for direct, contactless reading and configuration from compatible mobile devices, while LoRaWAN enables long-range remote data transmission for connected monitoring applications.
The device is a LoRaWAN-capable temperature data logger designed for applications where temperature needs to be measured, recorded and accessed both locally and remotely.
It incorporates an onboard temperature sensor and non-volatile memory, allowing temperature measurements to be stored over time even when a LoRaWAN connection is unavailable. This creates a local historical record of temperature conditions that can later be retrieved.
The integrated NFC interface enables contactless communication with an NFC-enabled smartphone or other compatible device. Users can bring a mobile device close to the logger to read stored temperature data and, where supported, write configuration parameters without requiring a physical cable, Wi-Fi connection or internet access at the logger.
Through LoRaWAN connectivity, the logger can periodically transmit temperature measurements to a LoRaWAN gateway and cloud platform, enabling remote monitoring, dashboards, alerts and long-term data analysis.
This combination of local data logging + NFC access + long-range LoRaWAN connectivity makes the platform suitable for applications such as cold-chain monitoring, refrigerated storage, pharmaceutical and food storage, warehouses, environmental monitoring, laboratories and industrial temperature monitoring.
The architecture also allows the device to function in two complementary ways: LoRaWAN provides automated remote monitoring, while NFC provides convenient local access and configuration when a user is physically near the device.
LoRaWAN node with Display
A low-power LoRaWAN temperature monitoring node designed for rooms, cold rooms and refrigerated spaces. It provides local temperature measurement and supports external PT1000 probes for remote sensing. Data can be transmitted over long distances to a cloud platform for real-time monitoring, alerts, historical analysis and predictive maintenance.
The device is a LoRaWAN-enabled IoT temperature monitoring node designed for continuous monitoring of indoor and refrigerated environments. It can measure room temperature locally and can be connected to an external PT1000 RTD probe for temperature measurement inside refrigeration chambers, cold rooms and other locations where the sensing element needs to be physically separated from the electronics.
The LoRaWAN communication provides long-range, low-power wireless connectivity, making the node suitable for installations where Wi-Fi or conventional wired connectivity is difficult or expensive. Temperature data can be transmitted periodically to a LoRaWAN gateway and subsequently to a cloud monitoring platform.
The system can be used for cold-chain monitoring, refrigerated storage, commercial refrigeration, food storage, HVAC monitoring, warehouses and industrial temperature monitoring. A display can provide local visibility of measurements and device/network status, while the cloud platform can provide historical data, dashboards, threshold alerts and remote monitoring.
The modular architecture allows the same platform to support different temperature-monitoring applications, with the PT1000 interface providing a path toward higher-accuracy and externally located temperature sensing.
Dual-mode LoRa communication platform
A dual-purpose LoRa communication device designed to extend LoRa network coverage or connect LoRa devices to the internet through Wi-Fi. It can operate as a LoRa repeater for increasing communication range in challenging environments, or as a LoRa-to-Wi-Fi gateway for transmitting sensor data to cloud platforms and IoT applications.
The device is a multi-purpose LoRa communication platform designed to provide flexible connectivity for LoRa-based IoT networks. It supports two primary operating modes: LoRa repeater mode and LoRa gateway mode.
In repeater mode, the device receives LoRa packets from end devices and retransmits them, allowing the effective communication range of a LoRa network to be extended. This can be particularly useful in large buildings, warehouses, agricultural areas, industrial sites and locations where obstacles or distance prevent direct communication between LoRa devices and the network infrastructure.
In gateway mode, the device acts as a bridge between the LoRa network and the internet. LoRa devices can communicate with the node while the device uses Wi-Fi connectivity to forward data to an internet/cloud-based application. This provides an alternative to gateways that require wired Ethernet or cellular connectivity.
The platform is designed to support IoT deployments requiring long-range, low-power wireless communication, including environmental monitoring, smart buildings, agriculture, industrial monitoring, cold-chain systems, asset monitoring and other distributed sensor applications.
Its dual-mode architecture allows the same hardware platform to be adapted according to deployment requirements—either extending an existing LoRa network or providing internet connectivity for LoRa devices.
