For aerobic treatment of different wastewaters, we use the world renowned AnoxKaldnes™ MBBR Technology in its pure form or its variants such as BAS, HYBAS etc. The core Tech-Team members of SUSWEN had been part of the Team that promoted AnoxKaldnes MBBR solutions in the Middle East, Africa and Indian Sub-continent. The process is based on the biofilm principle and utilizes the advantages of the activated sludge and previous biofilm systems without being hampered by its disadvantages. The core of the process is the biofilm carrier elements which are made from polyethylene with a density slightly below water. The carrier elements are formed in such a way that it gives a large, protected surface for the biofilm and optimal conditions for the bacteria culture when the elements are circulated in the water. The process has been tested and documented in commercial installations both for municipal wastewater, with low COD and BOD-content, as well as industrial wastewater with extremely high COD-content. It is very important to note that, there are some copies of the AnoxKaldnes™ MBBR available in the market which should not be misunderstood for the original AnoxKaldnes™ MBBR.
For anaerobic treatment of wastewaters also, we use Anoxthane™ AnMBBR (Anaerobic Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) technology. This has been developed for anaerobic treatment of wastewaters containing different levels of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and solids. It works at different temperatures and offers increased robustness against variations in organic loads and temperature compared to suspended and granular-based anaerobic technologies. An anaerobic biofilm grows on AnoxK™Z carriers that provide for controlled and protected biofilm development. The carriers are kept completely mixed and in suspension in the reactor volume by AnoxK™ mixer(s). The AnoxK™ mixer is specially designed for MBBRs using AnoxK™Z carriers, and they are optimized to work seamlessly together. The anaerobic biofilm growing on the carriers removes biodegradable soluble COD transforming it into biogas. Anoxthane™ AnMBBR comes as a complete solution for your specific needs.
