Product 1
The product is an automated, PLC-based rain gauge designed for continuous and unattended rainfall measurement. A precision rainfall collection mechanism measures precipitation, while the PLC processes and records rainfall data. An automatic drainage and reset mechanism prepares the unit for subsequent rainfall events. Data can be logged locally and transmitted through suitable communication networks to a web-based monitoring platform. Users can view real-time rainfall information and receive threshold-based remote alerts. The modular design allows integration of different sensors, communication technologies, and SCADA/DCS systems, making the product suitable for smart agriculture, hydrology, weather monitoring, industrial applications, and environmental data collection. The system is designed for reliable operation with minimal human intervention and can be developed into a commercially deployable, scalable rain-monitoring solution.
