FARMGUARD is an intelligent, automated, and non-lethal electronic device designed to provide 24/7 protection against crop-raiding wildlife, such as elephants and wild boars. The system utilizes high-sensitivity PIR motion sensors to detect animal presence up to 28 meters away, instantly triggering a multi-sensory deterrent housed in a durable, weatherproof casing. This repelling action combines high-intensity, flickering LED lights with a piercing, variable-tone audible alarm. Crucially, this system employs anti-habituation technology by constantly varying the sound and light patterns, preventing animals from becoming accustomed to the threat. The unit is self-sufficient, powered by a long-lasting rechargeable battery. The reliability of this technology is not only proven by its patent-pending status but is formally confirmed by a Certificate of Validation from the ICAR-KVK, Malappuram, where it was successfully used for over one year, and through documented real-world success in high-conflict areas like the Aralam Farming Corporation. The product is also used by Forest department in vulnerable areas to deter elephants from causing harm to humans. Especially in vulnerable tribal regions its found to be very effective in saving lives.
