Project Eden
Project Eden is an IoT-powered circular waste-management ecosystem. We map trash hotspots using drones, assigning each a permanent Digital Product Passport. By deploying smart, physical interventions built by marginalized communities and tracking recovered waste to verified recyclers, Eden replaces endless reactive cleanups with data-driven prevention.

The ecosystem operates across field hardware, IoT monitoring, and software verification:
- Mapping Hardware: The bench-tested EDEN-01 custom survey drone is equipped with a multispectral camera and GPS RTK lock to scan sectors and identify waste accumulation. This is supplemented by camera-equipped motorbike rigs for street-level scanning.
- Field Interventions: Depending on the hotspot, the system deploys IoT canal nets, smart bin arrays, or autonomous water robots. This hardware is fabricated and assembled to field specifications by specially trained special needs community members.
- IoT Mesh Network: Flow sensors and IoT nodes monitor the physical interventions in real-time. The data is broadcast locally to public digital impact screens installed in the ward.
- Digital Product Passport (DPP): Every physical hotspot receives a unique, living digital passport. It logs the exact composition of waste (e.g., PET plastics, multi-layer packaging, organic drift) and tracks the intervention history.
- Cryptographic Ledger: Recovered waste is routed to verified recycling plants, upcycling centers, or engineered landfills. The chain of custody is secured and verified via a ledger hash, ensuring materials do not end up in secondary dumping grounds.
