NutRE is a patent-filed innovation by Biota Precision Agriculture Pvt. Ltd., designed for real-time soil nutrient analysis and smart farming. It measures nine essential nutrients including NPK, pH, electrical conductivity, and moisture, displaying accurate data in ppm and kg/ha through an IoT-enabled device and mobile app.

NutRE is a fully electronic, reagent-free soil nutrient sensing and advisory system designed for rapid field-level soil assessment and precision nutrient management. The platform provides crop-specific and location-based recommendations, enabling optimized fertilizer application, improved nutrient efficiency, and better farm decision-making. The system has undergone pilot evaluation under Kerala Agricultural University and ICFOSS, Government of Kerala. As part of a postgraduate study conducted by the College of Agriculture, Vellayani, Kerala Agricultural University evaluated NutRE across multiple land-use systems and reported an average agreement accuracy of 88.97% with standard laboratory soil test values for essential nutrients including N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Fe, Zn, and Cu

NutRE’s data-driven advisory platform supports farmers, agronomists, and policymakers with actionable soil intelligence — promoting sustainable, low-fertilizer input agriculture across diverse geographies.
