The robotic trolley is a mobile platform that can be used to transport any type of material including medicines, food, new or used bedding, patient gowns and medical scrubs. The type of the material determines the extent of travel. For example, medicines travel only on one floor from storage station to the isolation ward, food may travel from kitchen that is on the ground floor to top floor, and beddings may travel out of the quarantine building to the laundry. Although our robotic platform can be used for any of these specialised tasks, we will demonstrate its capabilities in transporting food and medicines within one floor.
