"Aakri" acts as an online scrap merchant, helping society to recycle more of their waste and also they can earn from it. It  is a door step service that helps people sell their house hold junk like newspapers, empty glass bottles, paper, books, magazines, cardboard, soft plastic, hard plastics, iron, aluminium, steel, copper and brass.

The aim of the platform is to help find and map assets that streamline the collection of post-consumer waste, schedule efficient and cost-effective pickups, and incorporate the segregated waste into the recycling/vendor network.

 In its current model, The AAKRI pays the customer for the scrap it purchases, based on the weight of material. It then segregates the materials according to the grade, or in level-wise segregation, and provides the scrap to different recycling industries, depending on the material.
