Wine consumption in India is less than 1 percent of the total alcohol sales. Indians are drinking more hard liquor (rum, brandy, whiskey and vodka) than low alcohol liquors (beer and wine). This pattern is not healthy. Low strength alcohols are proven to be better as compared to high strength liquors.
Tons of agricultural products, especially fruits are wasted every year in India, due to inadequate processing facilities in the rural areas where those are produced.
Local Micro Fermentation Facilities of these agricultural products into horticulture wines and selling the value added product is a solution for this problem. However, now wineries are profitable only on large scale.
We will develop sustainable practices, optimize and develop cost effective technologies & equipment to standardize processes for commercial production of consistent quality horticulture wines from local agricultural products and manufacture zero waste consumer products, on a micro scale.
After developing our range of horticulture wines through R&D, we will manufacture horticulture wines and sell it in the market.
Further, we will become a consultant, technology & equipment provider for people who are intending to start a micro winery business.
This way, micro horticulture wineries can be set up in areas where the agricultural products are produced, thereby avoiding the logistical challenges and creating value added products, generating employment to the local rural population.
