SELConnect is an AI driven platform that facilitates the collection, analysis and correlation of Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL) skill metrics for students within a learning environment.

Structured around the five core SEL constructs – Self Awareness, Self Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills and Responsible Decision Making - it helps the institutions to adopt and customize the key skill sets to be assessed and tracked for different age groups of students.

The problem SELConnect is trying to address is;

• Absence of real technological frameworks for collecting, analysing and assessing Socio-Emotional Learning skills data continuously.

• Lack of relevant and specific, timely information on SEL skills of learners to address academic or behavioural issues.

• Few tools to aid the research in SEL

Apart from having a great influence on important life outcomes, SEL skills also has a critical role in the development and effective use of cognitive skills.

However, a major obstacle is the absence of reliable metrics and a structured approach in this field that allow educators and policy-makers to make progress visible, and to address shortcomings.
