Select one to read moreManta Manta is a tethered inspection ROV with HD video, rated to 300 m. MANTA-S carries 6 vectored thrusters, imaging sonar and DVL for structural and pipeline inspection; MANTA-C uses 4 thrusters for confined spaces and visual work. Includes 220 m tether, topside unit and HALIE software.
Manta (ROV)
Configurations
- MANTA-S: 6 vectored thrusters, HD camera, 300 m imaging sonar, DVL and 2 LED lights. Built for detailed structural and pipeline inspection.
- MANTA-C: 4 vectored thrusters, HD camera and 2 LED lights. Built for confined spaces and routine visual inspection.
Key specifications
- Depth rating: 300 m (both configurations)
- Max operating speed: 1.5–2 m/s
- Tether: 220 m, neutrally buoyant, carrying live HD video to the surface
- Payload options: grapple, plus higher-grade imaging sonar (such as Blueprint Oculus) on request
Included with every system
Tether and spool, pilot controller, topside unit, Li-ion battery and charger, spares kit, and six months of HALIE software.
Applications
Ports, jetties and harbour structures; dams, reservoirs and seawater intakes; ship hulls; offshore pipelines, risers and subsea structures; and search and recovery of small objects. Suited to commercial operators, government agencies and defence.
Why Manta
Capability comparable to imported inspection-class ROVs at a fraction of the cost. Delivered in 6–12 weeks from PO, depending on configuration. Backed by an Indian team offering commissioning, customisation, payload integration and annual maintenance contracts.
Stage
Pre-production units built and demonstrated; now taking orders, with on-site demonstrations available on request.
Argo Argo is an AUV rated to 300 m, with 6-DOF vectored thrust and 4–6 hour endurance. Modular bays take sonar and sensor payloads for seabed mapping, pipeline and harbour survey, security patrols and environmental monitoring. Designed to operate in coordinated fleets through HALIE.
Key specifications
- Propulsion: 6-DOF vectored thrust, so Argo can hover and manoeuvre in any direction instead of only cruising forward
- Endurance: 4–6 hours
- Depth rating: up to 300 m
- Payloads: modular bays for sonar and other sensors, configured to the mission
- Fleet operation: built to run coordinated multi-vehicle missions through HALIE
Applications
Seabed and pipeline route survey; harbour, port and coastal security patrols; environmental monitoring; and persistent maritime surveillance using coordinated AUV fleets.
Why Argo
Priced for fleet deployment at a fraction of the cost of imported AUVs, so operators can cover more water with several vehicles instead of one. Designed and built in India, with local support.
Stage
Working prototype built and demonstrated; open-water sea trials are the next milestone.
HALIE HALIE is Makara's AI operations software for inspection and surveillance drone fleets. It combines sensor fusion, anomaly detection, a common operating picture, mission planning and autonomous coordination across Manta, Argo and aerial platforms. Sold as a per-asset subscription; six months free with every Manta.
HALIE
Core capabilities
- Sensor fusion: combines video, sonar and telemetry from every vehicle in the fleet
- Common operating picture: one live view of all assets, their positions and their data
- AI anomaly detection: flags defects, objects and changes for operator review
- Mission planning and autonomous coordination: plans, assigns and coordinates tasks across multiple vehicles
Works with
Manta ROVs, Argo AUVs and Makara's aerial platforms.
Who it's for
Inspection contractors and asset owners who want to spend less time reviewing footage, and ports, coastal security and defence users who need one live picture across many drones.
Commercial model
Per-asset subscription. Six months free with every Manta, extendable at no cost for customers who opt into anonymised data sharing.
Stage
In development; alpha deployment on live customer fleets is the next milestone.
