Product 1
Callipto is an early-stage, bootstrapped technology startup building an AI-powered workforce management and business intelligence platform. Its flagship product uses face recognition on an ordinary smartphone to verify who is working, where, and when. It replaces traditional biometric punch machines, paper registers, and ID cards.
Problem. The companies with hourly, shift-based, or distributed workers lose money through weak attendance controls. It cites 5-12% salary leakage, buddy punching and ghost attendance, manual record manipulation, payroll discrepancies, no real-time view of productivity, heavy reliance on supervisors, and biometric hardware that is costly, easily tampered with, and hard to scale. It estimates the resulting leak at over ₹50,000 crore across India alone, though no source is given for that figure.
Solution. Employees mark attendance by scanning their face on any smartphone, with no dedicated hardware. Supervisors and managers capture and monitor attendance from their own phones, while an admin dashboard gives leadership company-wide analytics on hours worked, productivity trends, overtime and shift patterns, and department performance.
Product philosophy. Callipto frames the product as “Workforce Intelligence” rather than time tracking, with three layers.
Target market. The MarketsandMarkets figures putting the face recognition market at $13.4 billion, growing to $32 billion by 2034 at a 15-17% CAGR. Target segments include factories, security agencies, retail chains, logistics and transportation, contract labor, corporate offices, construction, warehousing, education, hospitals, service businesses, and apartment and gated communities. Companies of every size are in scope, and gated communities and channel partners are named as growth drivers.
Product status and traction. The product is fully developed, demo-ready, and tested in controlled environments.
