The Autonomous Energy Harvesting IoT Mesh is a rugged, self-powered sensing and communication system designed for operation in extreme and remote environments such as deserts, oceans, coastal zones, and snow-covered borders. Each IoT node integrates solar panels, triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG), and thermoelectric generators (TEG) to harvest energy from sunlight, mechanical motion (wind/waves/vibrations), and temperature gradients, ensuring continuous power without batteries or external charging.
The nodes are built around ultra-low-power embedded controllers and support LoRa-based mesh networking, enabling long-range, low-power, and self-healing communication across large areas. Nodes can host modular sensors for intrusion detection, vibration, weather parameters, marine activity, pollution, or environmental monitoring. Basic edge intelligence processes data locally to reduce bandwidth usage and trigger real-time alerts.
All nodes are housed in IP67/IP68-rated enclosures with corrosion-resistant materials, making them suitable for harsh climates. Data from the mesh is aggregated through gateways and visualized on a secure cloud-based dashboard, enabling authorities to monitor conditions, detect anomalies, and respond quickly with minimal maintenance and operational cost.
